National Bank Discount Brokerage Wins Dalbar Award |

Dalbar announced today that it is awarding its inaugural Discount Brokerage Service Award to National Bank Discount Brokerage. The Award is given to the company that provides the best overall service to its customers over a calendar year.
The company ranked highest amongst its peers in the quality of telephone service and trading representatives, quality of e-mail responses, and e-mail turnaround times. “National Bank has long been committed to ensuring that its self-serve brokerage customers are in excellent hands. The company employs representatives that are extremely knowledgeable and sincere, and it provides customers with valuable information to help them make investment decisions,” said Sandy Ghantous, Client Relationship Manager at Dalbar. In Dalbar's 2004 year-end rankings, TD Waterhouse placed second and ScotiaMcLeod Direct Investing was third. In addition to the above areas, Dalbar's Award is also based on each company’s performance in the area of Telephone Accessibility, which measures the amount of time spent waiting to speak to a live representative. CIBC Investor’s Edge placed first in this category. Evaluations contributing to Dalbar's 2005 rankings will begin later this month, and periodic rankings will be available from the company throughout the year.
